on January 11, 2012

Please check out this updated site. More information has been added to all the posts and a new post will be uploaded soon.  Of the 5 A’s; Asana (Yoga), Ayurveda (Health), Abode (Vastu), Astrology (Jyotish), Advaita (Self-knowledge);  I plan to research and provide more information on the connection between Yoga, sleep and Vastu and cross-reference this to other aspects of architecture, Feng Shui, Islamic patterns , Crop Circles, Platonic Solids, and other sacred sites & sacred geometry.

In the meantime, please read the updated post on Yoga metaphysics & Physiotherapy (Sun Yoga & Gayatri mantra) with a link to the post on Vegetarianism (smoking, alcohol, Ayurveda & detox). Any corrections to my information are more than welcome.

Also, take a look at the concept that took birth in 2003 about incorporating all 5 concepts into the JiVa Vision or JiVa Gypsy Project – “the JiVa Cafe” – a trance-it 4 the Soul, Muse-it 4 Mystic, Eat-it 4  Thought! – a club concept based and designed on the sacred geometry from various traditions, cultures and metaphysics .

The JiVa Cafe and the JiVa Gypsy Project

A contemporary Yogi’s joint where the world of fusion meets with all cultures integrated through sacred geometry. ie. the 5 A’s with Acoustics (mantric bliss) and Action (tribal dance) included. Thus, between the “A of Asana (Yoga)/Ayurveda (Metaphysical Mood Food Menu)” and the “A of Abode/Architecture” is the music and dance for a subliminal trance-it, synthesizing all cultures and tribes around their sacred traditions; transporting them to a feeling of Unity in Diversity. If music be the food of Love play on.

JiVa (life-giver) – definition for the Soul

 Logo 2 TM

In India, a jiva is the immortal essence of a living being (human, animal, plant etc.) which survives physical death. It has a very similar usage to atma, but whereas atma refers to the self, jiva is used to denote a living entity specifically.

The concept of the jiva is similar to the concept of the soul as presented in Abrahamic religions. The word itself originates from the Sanskrit Jivás, with the root jīv, to breathe. It has the same Indo-European root as the Latin word Vivus: (Wikepedia).

Also, in Chinese, the word Chi (Ki or Qi) means the same as “Ji”; that is the life force & both are tied up with the breath that animates the consciousness. “Jian” in Chinese means healthy (and in Arabic & Muslim, life). In Hebrew , “Jian” (as a variant of John) means God is gracious.

Metaphysically, the soul inhabits the womb in the 5th month; man, with his 5 senses/limbs, is related to this number. The 5th day of the week from Sunday is Thursday or Guru day & corresponds to the planet Jupiter (in myth, to Indra, Zeus or Thor); the 2nd hara chakra in yoga.

The Club – the Jiva Cafe – de la soul aims to use the metaphysics of nature (with its 5 elements) ; symbolism of the soul to appreciate the unity in diversity between cultures through its unique synthesis of soulful music, food & sacred space.

Meaning of “Ji” in Chinese

“Ji” in Chinese means “pole; roof ridge; highest/utmost point; extreme; earth’s pole; reach the end; attain; exhaust” – wiki. As a name in Chinese, it appears to mean “orange, good harvest & good fortune”.

It’s etymology is made up of 2 components;

1, representing “tree” or “wood”

Tai-ji (Chi) VS Wu-ji (Chi) &

Club JiVa – Cafe Soul of the JiVa 5 Lotus – the Metaphysical House Pte Ltd will be opening in Singapore, Little India this year. A web site is under construction.

In Chinese metaphysics system, with their 5 elemental system, Metal replaces Air & Wood replaces Ether.  In fact, Chinese metaphysics compliments Indian systems. Thus, I Ching, Chinese astrology, face reading, Feng Shui, TCM & Taoism (Tai-ji & Wu-ji) can also be represented by the above design.

Interestingly, “ji” means  pole, utmost and extreme-tree/wood. Wood is the subtlest element ether or space, and thus, perhaps, extreme wood can be interpreted as the  fullness of  Consciousness (subtlest space) leading to the Supreme Polarity (Tai-ji) and beyond (Wu-ji). In Advaita Vedanta, this is represented by the symbolism of the Yoni Lingam.

Sites & have been reserved to develop the synthesis of Indian & Chinese metaphysical & healing systems & philosophies.
